tuesday:

went to school to work on my flash animation project. after that i went BOWLING!

mwahaha. lots of us were there. Sarah, Khairi, Senusi, Andy, Danial, Khairi's sister, and I.

i arrived at the "BOWLERIUM" [thats what i call it] the earliest. so, instead of waiting in Jollibee reading, i went to Soon Lee to get a drink. i paid for it and started walking. while walking, i opened the bottle and drank. and I FORGOT IT WAS PUASA. and there were lots of Malays around me. no offense but, i forgot :P haha.

when i reached the Bowlerium, i was greeted by Sarah and The Zainals. haha. danial arrived. and so did Andy. paid a fiver to the person in charge.

the game went well. i sucked. although i got 2nd highest :P haha.

after school, went to Charmy Snow and Ice Place again! haha.

hello. im OFFICIALLY going on a break from blogging. but i might blog once in a while. and why, you might ask? im learning a new algorithm for solving the rubiks cube. its called the Roux. its difficult i tell you.

the rubiks cube is officially my drug. i cant stand a minnute without solving one! ask Sarah!

anyway, heres something that you should know about the Rubiks Cube. or not :P

The mathematics of the 3x3 Cube

As the centre pieces of each face of the Cube do not move, the total number of possible configurations is calculated by multiplying the number of possible arrangements of the corner pieces by the number of possible arrangements of edge pieces.

There are 8 corner pieces, so the number of possible arrangements equals 8! (or 8x7x6x5x4x3x2x1), which is 40320. Each corner piece has 3 different orientations, so this figure must be multiplied by 3⁸ (3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3), which equals 6561. But when the Cube is almost complete, the number of possible moves diminishes, so the equation must be adjusted. In this case, once the second from last corner piece is placed, the last piece can have only one automatic orientation, so 6561 must be divided by 3⁷, which is 2187. Finally, the total possible arrangements of corner pieces

40320 x 2187 = 88,179,840.

With the 12 Edge Pieces, the number of possible arrangements equals 12! (12x11x10…), which is 479,001,600. However, unlike corner pieces, it is impossible to exchange just two edge pieces, so once the third from last is placed, the remaining two can have only one possible arrangement, which means this figure must be divided by 2, leaving 239,500,800. Each edge piece has two different orientations, so this must now be multiplied by 2¹², which gives 6561. This figure must also be adjusted because once the third from last edge piece is placed, one of the remaining two can be reoriented but the last will always have a fixed orientation in relation to it. So 6561 must be divided by 2¹¹, which is 2048. Finally, the total possible arrangements of edge pieces

239,500,800 x 2048 = 490,497,638,400.

So the total possible arrangements of Rubik's Cube

88,179,840 x 490,497,638,400 = 43,252,003,274,489,856,000.

Or, to put it another way,

4.3 times 10 to the power of 19.

Morning. September 17 2008.

school was boring. 15 out of 29 people came to class.. most of the periods were free periods. i got scolded by Teacher Victoria for not going to class. yes, i cut class. chem was fun. we still had class, even though it was the last day of school, and HALF the class was absent. skipped Economics.

Afternoon. September 17 2008.

i sat beside Ells while talking to Senusi, Khairi, JM, and Aime. stayed for a while in school then headed to Mikko's place to play some PS2. annen i went home. and when i reached home, i did the most dangerous thing that i have ever done.

i had 2 firecrackers. the really loud ones. i blew one up when i arrived home. and the second one, I taped the firecracker right to the lighter.

so i lit the firecracker and threw it to my backyard. now, IMAGINE.

yes, what you are thinking right now, happened.

Night. September 17 2008.

played the Rubiks cube. AGAIN. and AGAIN and AGAIN. oh yeah, have i told you? my new time for finshing the cube is now exactly 1 minute. 1 MINUTE! haha.

bob marley was the one who made this famous.



and i like bob marley. sadly he died at an age of 36. of cancer. may he rest in peace. he was also a vegetarian. and the crazy thing is, he has 13 children.

his music influenced alot of people. like me.

so yes, i have just been corrected. Mai is actually 19. and not 20. this error is regretted :D haha.

anyway, today was not so boring after all. when i arrived at school, there was practically no one there. well, except for our class because APPARENTLY we need extra classes. after our freeeeeeeekin [pardon my language] exams?! thats just bullshenanigans. haha.

so yeah, played CounterStrike for like an hour or so. freezed like crazy inside the computer lab. and so after that, i had piano lessons at 1. and the crazy thing was that, i forgot my piano books at home. the distance from home to school is like 20kms![12miles!] apart. so, i hitched a ride from Rahat [you'll know why its brown] [he lives near me btw] and went home, picked up the books and took the bus to school. craaaaaaaaaaaaaazy.

piano lessons werent so bad. so. after that, i went to church to play the DRUMS[!] there. i saw JM, Jay-R, Christian, Melissa, Reychelle and "whatshisname" [Manuel] hha. yeah. jammed with em. so eeeeeeeyeeeeeeeahhhhhh.

I MADE IT! i never thought that i could actually do it! i finally broke my 2minute record fixing the Rubiks cube! haha. just a 100 more seconds to the world record! mwahahaha! so yeah, that practically sums up my day. had seven[out of eight] free periods in class, so i decided to just keep on playing :P fixed the Rubiks cube like a hundred times today :) never get tired of it. anyway, back to watching Simpsons :)
